Good night, and good luck

Living in a small town, i am unable to see movies as much as i want to. When i was living in Toronto, it was typical for me to see 2-3 movies per week, and that's no lie. Around here, we get one movie a week and it's not usually what i want to see. My tastes are geared towards the independent scene when it comes to movies, although i give most movies a fair shot (but not Date Movie--i'll watch myself get shot in the shins for a lifetime before i ever watch that garbage.)
Tonight, i finally got to see Good Night, and Good Luck, after much anticipation. In all honestly, movies this compelling and provocative don't come around too often. A movie that is this timely, this well acted and written and that looks this beautiful, shouldn't be missed. In my current state of mind, it should have won best picture.
I also got North Country tonight. The way that the women are treated in this film (and in real life, sadly) makes my blood boil. I very rarely get mad during a movie, but tonight i couldn't help it. I know it sounds silly, but it's horrible. I give my props to all the women out there, trying to make a living under chauvinistic, pig-headed bastards who feel the need to degrade others and who get off on their own power. No one should have to work under those circumstances.
Ugh, it's making me mad again and i already have a headache. Take care, and have a good one. I gotta be up in a couple of hours for work.
