Work fun!

Yearly work surveys were handed out last week. A time to express your feelings about your employer and fellow colleagues. Normally i would be nervous about being 100% honest but good news! It's totally anonymous! All you need to put down are the following things:

1) Your job title
2) Employment status (full-time, part-time, casual)
3) Most common shift
4) Your department
5) How long you've been employed
6) Your store number

Yup, so there you have it. Everything shy of your SIN and shoe size. Quickly, grab me a blue pen!

Futurama in 2008!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sweet Zombie Jesus!

Seriously, this is the best news ever. I'm getting all misty eyed (among other things).

Well, i was about to go out. Now i have to go out with a huge dumb grin on my face. That will interfere with my brooding. Damn.

Yay Futurama!

E3 Report: It's Freakin' Smash Bros.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

As a few of you might know, this week is the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the biggest video game expo in the history of the last 10 years (you heard me). Since i don't have much of a night life, all this video game stuff is right up my alley. It's been pretty huge so far, and i was going to wait until after the dust had settled to post about it, but this just needs to be posted.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

After the Nintendo press conference came and went without a whisper of it, Smash Bros. fans were not very hopeful. They thought it hardly started development or that they couldn't figure out how to map the game to the free hand controller. Then, just a couple of hours ago they unleash this. And the internet went mad.

Check out the video, here. Trust me when i say the game looks MUCH better than the video on the site leads you to believe. Plus, there's a nice little surprise at the end of this video which i will not spoil here.

Hallelujah

The impossible has happened. George Lucas will release the original, unaltered editions of Star Wars episodes IV-VI on DVD for a limited time. After years of begging, petitions and writing messages on his bedroom ceiling with blood, we finally get them.

Fellow nerds, you may now salivate.

For now, i must got to bed. My place of work caught fire and i have to be up at five to continue fixing it. Long story.

Revolution renamed Wii... whaaa?

Nintendo has announced that it's next console, codenamed Revolution, will actually be named Wii. As in we. For an "explaination" as to why they changed the name to Wii, clicky right here.

The logo seems to lend itself to a sleek product ala iPod. At first i thought it was Wi-Fi when i read it on a website. I thought they made a typo. I see many Wii jokes. Way too many.

Pfft, i don't really care. They could've called it The Nintendo Blueballs and i would still but it launch day. And i will be. Oh yes.

I'll miss you, Revolution. Keep in touch.

*drool*

This makes me want to grab season three of Scrubs even more than before (and that's hard to believe).

"Meanwhile today, Buena Vista has announced the DVD release of Scrubs: Season Three for 5/9 (SRP $39.99). Each copy will include a "Scrub-o-graph" cast photo, 100 randomly distributed copies of which will actually be hand-signed by the entire cast of the series."

It's like Willy Wonka's golden ticket! I've already preordered five copies. Yes, of course i'm lying. It's more like seven copies. A winner will be me come May 9th!

Wanna know how i know it's summer?

Because friends who are away at university are coming home and trying to get together. You know, because they haven't said a word to you all year and when they do it's because they need help with something and then they don't even care enough to ask about your life at all. Yup, it's that time of year where people pretend like everything is how it used to be and that we never skipped a beat!

Well we did. A lot of them. And i for one have grown tired of your tricks and bullshit. Have a great summer :)

Annoying

I know it's annoying for two posts in a row, but i forgot how utterly hilarious this ad for firefox is. This is just classic.

Colbert = YouTube'd

Yup, i'm the last guy in the world to actually post some YouTube on his site. But hey, what better way of sharing what you love than through compressed and grainy video! Excitement!

Not watching The Colbert Report? You're only missing one of the bestest shows on television right now. Stephen Colbert, like his former boss Jon Stewart and former co-worker Steve Carell, is a comedy God. It's "informative", it's wacky and best of all... it's french, bitch.

I'll probably do this a lot now, since my life hold little interest. You've been warned.

Nintendo seems to think they're funny, giving me the finger. Well, you should've seen what i did to the game afterwards. I didn't feel comfortable taking a picture of that.

*no, we didn't. Lies are fun

Nintendo Wi-Fi makes me hot

Image hosting by Photobucket

Just up for a drink, decided to check a few things quickly. Haven't been able to move out of bed much at all for 3 days now. Need to go for more tests in a few hours and i'm sore all over.

At this point i want announce my love for Nintendo Wi-Fi and my Nintendo DS. It has saved me from (total) insanity.

That is all. Hope all is well with you.

I hate birthdays

Yup. The title pretty much says everything, hmm? One of the worst ones ever, and i'm not even sure if i have a good reason why. But ah well, it's over and i still have a year or so to dread the next one. Plus, it could be worse...

I could've been born a few hours later instead. Hooray for an April Fool's Baby!

One of the best parts? Everyone at my place of work had a big surprise rig for me, with cake, and singing and notes and... oh god, the singing. But it was fun, and very awesome of them. Put a big ol' smile on my face.

Today pretty much sucked hard too, except i got my tax refund. It was taaaaaasty. I got almost 100 bucks more than i thought i was getting, which was a nice little bonus.

I hate daylight savings time.

Well, i guess i better end this here. I think any poor sap who comes across this will die from all the happy feelings i'm giving off.

Take care and Godspeed.

Tang'd

When i make Tang, i use at least three pouches instead of the recommended one. People find this strange. You may find it boring.

Either way, if you're involved in a pool about when and how i'm going to die, change it from 10 years and stress to 2 years and diabetic shock. I would ask for a cut of the profits, but i have no use for it in heaven (?) since i've got a Jesus-Mart gift card.

Meh. It'll be worth it
